The photographs shown on this website are mostly taken in public spaces — in places where people encounter one another without necessarily knowing each other.
I am not interested in spectacle, but in what is unobtrusive: gestures, glances, traces of attention.
People appear in these images as part of an artistic reflection on perception, time, and the present moment.

I photograph with respect and attentiveness. People in my images never appear as objects, but as part of a shared reality. Their presence gives meaning to places without needing to move into the foreground themselves.
I am aware that photography always touches a boundary — between perception, privacy, and artistic freedom — and I try to observe that boundary with care.

In some situations, due to circumstances or artistic considerations, it is not possible to ask for permission before taking a photograph. Under German law (Kunsturhebergesetz, KUG), photographs of identifiable individuals may generally only be published with their consent (§§ 22–23 KUG). However, there are exceptions — for example, when people appear only incidentally within a scene, when public events are depicted, or when a legitimate artistic interest applies (§ 23 KUG).
If you recognize yourself in one of the photographs and do not agree with its publication, you are welcome to contact me. I will review your request carefully and, where appropriate, remove the image if legitimate reasons apply.
